Hi, I’m Owen. My function is Treasury to manage accounting bookkeeping, FX trades, cash injections, loans, entities’ cash flows, and participate all projects that involve any cash flow issues.
We’re curious to hear more about your journey to Coupang. What attracted you the most?
Coupang just came to Taiwan less than 1 year when I noticed it. In Korea, it is one of the largest retailers in Asia that launched speedy delivery like a Rocket and even cross-border. Its speed prevailed over what existing competitors can offer around the market. It convinced me of full of possibilities and potentials to change the ecosystem.
What capabilities are essential for Coupang's Treasury Team?
We can’t deny we are seeking experienced team members with the best Treasury knowledge to handle our routine tasks. But we most likely want our team members to support each other if needed and never stop to learn diligently which means personality is the key factor. We don’t want to reach the goals alone but together.
What are you looking forward to the most with Coupang?
Coupang is still a young market participant in e-commerce around Taiwan. If we look at what Coupang did in Korea, you can imagine there are still lots of things we can do. Growing together with a start-up is quite exciting and it will bring you experiences, knowledge, and rewards over the pains. At Coupang, you will never be bored but will be challenged to Wow the customers.
