One standout success came from a fulfillment center where the team’s optimization of automation processes led to a significant increase in pick rates. It was a clear demonstration of how systemic thinking, combined with data, engineering insight, and on-the-ground partnership, can deliver measurable improvements that impact customers every day.
Instead of simply fixing problems as they appear, the team designs long-term solutions. By identifying root causes and sharing best practices across organizations, they elevate innovation from reactive maintenance to strategic transformation.
Scaling capability
As Coupang continues to grow, the team is investing in our capability building to ensure we scale with quality and speed. A key initiative to internalize robotic maintenance and repair at fulfillment sites is currently progressing toward enhanced operational efficiency. This allows Coupang technicians to take full ownership of these systems, improving response times and deepening organizational resilience.
To support this shift, the team has developed a comprehensive training program and a “Train the Trainer” track to develop in-house robotics expertise. This initiative not only increases agility but also empowers Coupang employees with meaningful career growth and new technical skillsets.
