Jacqueline delivers her best by starting from customer needs — “I’m a Coupang user myself”

“Coupang is so easy to shop on and we can find everything. How do you do it?” 

This is the feedback Jacqueline hears most often from friends, family, and even doctors she meets after joining Coupang. Every time she hears it, she feels especially proud. As a Senior Brand Management Specialist, she knows this praise reflects exactly why she and countless Coupang colleagues give their all every day. 

In her role as a buyer, Jacqueline doesn’t see herself as someone who is simply “responsible for putting products on the shelf.” Like every Brand Managers at Coupang, she carries the same core mission: Wow the Customers. At Coupang, customer needs and real-life use cases come first. Whether sourcing locally in Taiwan or curating global products from the U.S., Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong, and our teams are always asking the same question, “How can we help customers get the products they want quickly, effortlessly, and right when they need them?” 

 

What true convenience really means 

Jacqueline is not only a Coupang employee — she’s also a customer. Like customers everywhere, she buys products through Coupang in her daily life. “When you’re a consumer yourself, you truly understand what’s convenient and what really works,” she says. That’s why she makes every assortment and service decision with the customer in mind, guided by a strong mission to solve real customer needs. 

Packaged beverages offer a clear example. Jacqueline observed that for many heavy beverage customers, the traditional convenience of grabbing a drink at a convenience store is no longer enough. What they really want is a refrigerator that’s always stocked at home where placing an order means drinks arrive directly at their doorstep, without needing to step outside. This is how they define true convenience. 

Together with her team, Jacqueline is committed to turning these expectations into reality. By leveraging Coupang’s extensive customer base and strong sales capabilities, the team actively builds partnerships with brands to ensure seamless product onboarding and fast delivery, bringing the full promise of online shopping convenience to life. 

Jacqueline is deeply aware that her work drives meaningful change, not only for customers but for the retail landscape as a whole. Looking ahead, she hopes more like-minded, customer-first talents will join Coupang, bringing their vision for better service and better products to Coupang that never stops moving forward or evolving.
