Role Overview

  • As a Director of Product, you will own and drive your product area from start to finish. You will identify opportunities, formulate strategies and the execution plan, align stakeholders, socialize your plan, define success metrics, and finally implement, launch and measure the impact. You will independently define and own the KPIs that drive the OKRs in your area.
  • You will also own program & operations' teams in your org which will be responsible for cross-border supply chain execution - including but not limited to : driving partnerships with service providers, understanding seller experience supply chain needs and opportunities to innovate, and solving recurring issues that sellers might be facing using strong process or product interventions.
  • You have a strong sense of judgment and a mindset that continuously questions the status quo. You have the swagger to work with various stakeholders to bring them together around common objectives and then lead them to execution. You enjoy working with and analyzing data to develop insights.
  • Successful applicants will love delving deep into data, have strong analytical skills, outstanding communication tactics, and be comfortable with executive-level evaluations. You will be at ease engaging with technical software development teams and flourish in a collaborative, creative, analytical, and quick-paced atmosphere. You should possess the knowledge and skills necessary to create documents for top executives. This is a high-profile role that will interact with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Research: Analyze the competitive landscape, identify areas where the overall experience may be improved and gather product requirements from customers and business stakeholders.
  • Strategy and communication: To ensure that projects run well, reach an understanding with stakeholders regarding the specifics and timelines of the strategy. You need to craft a story around your ideas and execution plan and drive alignment.
  • Roadmap management: oversee the product roadmap and assign priorities depending on the impact to the business.
  • Execute: Manage every step of the product lifecycle, including use case definition, success metrics, solution discovery, strategy development, launch, A/B testing, impact analysis, etc.
  • Mentor: Train up-and-coming product, program and operations managers and assist them in carrying out the crucial tasks assigned as part of the team's overall OKRs.
  • Collaborate: Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders from the customer, business, and UX design communities to guarantee planned product features are delivered and OKRs are met.
  • Earn trust: Do all the above in a manner that others look up to you and want to work with/ for you.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 13+ years in a senior position inside a business or in product management, operations/program management, strategic consulting, pricing, or revenue management.
  • leadership experience with a history of launching and managing products and dealing with ambiguity and complexity and running regular metric reviews and mechanisms to deepdive for growth blockers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical people and present with assurance to all levels of the organization.
  • Expertise presenting insights to leadership and other stakeholders after evaluating huge datasets.
  • Proven track record of leading company and roadmap strategy while handling conflicting goals.
  • Knowledge of a product's tradeoffs and feature delivery from beginning to end.
  • Bachelor's degree.

  • MBA from Top ranked Business school
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities.
  • In-depth expertise in fulfillment and warehouse services as well as online retail.
  • Strong Bias for action and getting results attitude.
  • Bilingual Chinese - English
