About the Role
Coupang Eats is looking for a Data Scientist who can go beyond analysis and build systems that directly influence business decisions at scale.
In this role, you will work on complex, real-world problems across marketplace operations, with huge amount of data having a lot of complexity. You will be expected to turn these challenges into structured solutions by combining analytical thinking, modeling, and production-ready implementations.

- You will work across Coupang Eats’ Korea and Japan markets, solving similar classes of problems under different data conditions and operational environments, and scaling solutions across regions.

What You Will Work On
You will work on problems where simple analysis is not sufficient, requiring scalable systems and automated decision logic.
Platform Coverage
- Developing image recognition to help our restaurant onboard to Coupang Eats quickly
- developing AI solutions to generate marketing targeting segments and even banners, creatives
Data Automation at Scale
- Replace manual processes with automated pipelines
- Build systems that generate reliable datasets used for business decisions
- Improve data quality and coverage with minimal manual intervention
- These systems directly power downstream decisions such as pricing, selection, and marketplace strategy
Operational & Optimization Problems
- Work on problems such as delivery efficiency, ETA accuracy, and marketplace balance
- Translate operational challenges into data-driven solutions that can be deployed and iterated on
- Focus on improving not just model performance, but real-world outcomes
What You Will Do

- Design and implement scalable solutions combining data processing, modeling, and system logic

Recruitment Process

Document Return Policy
