Role Overview
Coupang’s HRM Senior Managers play a critical role in driving organizational excellence by overseeing HQ operations and ensuring global consistency in our HR systems. As a Senior Manager, you will manage core HR processes—including Payroll, C&B, and Workday—while acting as a strategic bridge between leadership and execution. You will also function as a high-level problem solver, optimizing HR programs and providing data-driven insights to ensure operational efficiency and compliance across all business locations.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee the HQ HRM team’s operations and manage the strategic coordination of tasks across all departments to ensure continuous improvement
  • Execute company-wide HR strategies by collaborating with Strategy and Planning teams to implement consistent systems and programs
  • Maintain consistency in HR processes across all business locations, supervising operations to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to foster communication and ensure the smooth execution of HR policies
  • Provide regular data-driven reports and feedback to senior management regarding HR operations, payroll accuracy, and process optimization
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team while overseeing training, attendance, and the management of HR system data accuracy

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of total HR experience with a focus on HRM operations
  • 5+ years of experience in a people management role, leading and developing HR teams
  • Ability to solve complex problems through strategic thinking and cross-functional partnerships
  • Strong drive to attain challenging operational targets and ensure organizational compliance
  • Extensive experience in managing Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, and HR systems such as Workday

Preferred Qualifications

  • General understanding of business operations across key areas such as finance, legal, logistics, and tech
  • Experience leading large-scale HR system implementations or process optimization projects
  • Ability to thrive and manage HR operations within a fast-paced or start-up environment
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting to and influencing senior leadership
