Role Overview

Senior Manager II, Merchant Account Management is a senior leadership role responsible for driving both business performance and team effectiveness across Rocket Now’s key merchant segments. This role requires a strong balance of analytical thinking, execution capability, and organizational leadership, with a clear focus on delivering measurable results in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and develop a team of Account Managers, driving strong team performance and individual growth
  • Own and drive key business metrics, ensuring consistent achievement of results, not just reportingIdentify business challenges, define problems clearly, and drive end-to-end solutions with measurable impact
  • Oversee merchant lifecycle performance and drive sustainable growth across segments
  • Build and manage relationships with key merchants to support long-term business success
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align on priorities and drive execution
  • Operate effectively in a dynamic and changing environment, adapting quickly as business needs evolve
  • Contribute to team structure, processes, and ways of working as the organization continues to scale

Basic Qualifications

  • 12–20+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Proven track record of delivering strong business outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in Japanese
  • Business-level English (speaking/reading/writing)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
  • Short term business trips to other regions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, SQL, or other BI/CRM tool
  • Experience managing mid-to-large size teams or multiple layers of organization
