Job Description

Senior Delivery Operations Lead

Role Mission
The Senior Delivery Operations Lead is responsible for driving operational performance and ensuring scalable, efficient delivery operations. This role oversees key operational metrics, identifies business risks and opportunities, and leads cross-functional initiatives to improve service quality, operational efficiency, and customer experience.

Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, ownership, stakeholder management, and the ability to solve complex operational challenges through data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple teams, and making decisions that balance customer experience, operational efficiency, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Performance Management

    • Own and improve key operational performance metrics across the delivery operation.
    • Monitor business performance, identify operational risks, and proactively drive corrective actions.
    • Establish operational mechanisms and performance reviews to ensure sustainable execution.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

Data-Driven Decision Making

    • Analyze complex operational data and performance indicators to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities.
    • Develop structured recommendations and action plans based on quantitative and qualitative insights.
    • Translate business challenges into scalable operational solutions.
    • Build and maintain a culture of data-driven decision making across the organization.

Problem Solving & Execution

    • Take ownership of critical daily operational challenges and drive resolution from problem identification to implementation.
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives to address operational bottlenecks and improve performance.
    • Develop sustainable processes and mechanisms to prevent recurring issues.
    • Demonstrate strong judgment and prioritization in a fast-changing environment.

Team Leadership & People Management

    • Lead and develop multiple real time operational teams and managers.
    • Establish clear goals, accountability, and performance expectations.
    • Coach team members and support career development through regular feedback and performance management.
    • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner closely with Marketplace, Customer Service, Planning, Marketing, and Operations stakeholders.
    • Drive alignment across teams and facilitate decision-making on complex operational topics.
    • Communicate operational performance, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
    • Influence stakeholders through data, logic, and strong business judgment.

Basic Qualifications

    • 7+ years of professional experience in managing large-scale operational organizations in logistics, marketplace, e-commerce, consulting, or related industry fields.
    • Ability to understand and manage complex operational KPIs and performance metrics.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a highly data-driven mindset.
    • Demonstrated ownership and accountability in driving business outcomes.
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills.
    • Experience working in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
    • Native-level Japanese and Business level English proficiency required

Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with SQL, BI tools, operational analytics, or performance reporting.
    • Experience leading cross-functional programs and operational transformation initiatives.
    • Korean language proficiency is a plus.
