Position : Manager, In-Stock & Inventory Strategy
Role Overview
The In-Stock Manager owns the end-to-end inventory lifecycle. You are responsible for maximizing "Product Availability" while minimizing "Days of Inventory" (DOI). You will use advanced data modeling to forecast demand, trigger factory re-orders, and manage the healthy flow of goods from local Taiwan factories into our fulfillment centers. You thrive on numbers, automated alerts, and hitting the perfect balance between sales velocity and capital efficiency.
Key Responsibilities (Data & Inventory Focus)
- Demand Forecasting: Build and maintain high-accuracy forecast models using historical sales data, promotional calendars, and seasonality (e.g., Ghost Festival, Lunar New Year, 11.11).
- Automated Re-ordering: Partner with the Direct Sourcing team to set up "Trigger Points" for factory production. Manage the "Purchase-to-Pay" cycle to ensure stock arrives just before it’s needed.
- Inventory Health & Optimization: Identify "Slow-Movers" or "Dead Stock" early using aging reports. Design liquidation strategies (e.g., flash sales, bundles) to clear warehouse space for high-velocity items.
- Factory Lead-Time Management: Track and analyze actual vs. promised factory lead times. Use data to hold Taiwan manufacturers accountable for production delays.
- Promotion Planning: Collaborate with Marketing to ensure inventory levels can support aggressive "Big Day" sales spikes. Prevent the dreaded "Out of Stock" (OOS) tag during peak traffic.
- In-bound Logistics Coordination: Oversee the scheduling of truck deliveries from local factories to the warehouse to avoid bottlenecks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Data Expertise: Expert level Excel/Google Sheets (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Index/Match) and experience with SQL or BI tools (Tableau/Power BI).
- Inventory Logic: Deep understanding of EOQ (Economic Order Quantity), Safety Stock formulas, and Re-order Point (ROP) logic.
- Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with the backend inventory modules and how they sync with local ERPs.
- Experience: 5–7 years in Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Control, or Demand Planning within an e-commerce or fast-moving retail environment.
