Develop, implement, and enforce fire safety policies and procedures in compliance with Taiwan's fire codes and regulations. Conduct fire risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation strategies. Collaborate with regulatory agencies, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), and fire departments to ensure compliance with fire safety laws. Lead fire protection system inspections, maintenance, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal functionality.
Establish and execute fire prevention programs, ensuring best practices are adopted across all facilities. Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems. Implement hot work permit programs, fire drills, and evacuation plans to ensure operational readiness. Develop and maintain fire load assessments to evaluate and minimize potential fire risks.
Lead the development of fire emergency response plans and conduct regular fire drills. Train employees and emergency response teams on fire safety procedures, evacuation protocols, and fire extinguisher use. Act as a liaison with local emergency services to coordinate emergency response efforts effectively. Develop business continuity strategies related to fire incidents to minimize disruptions and ensure swift recovery.
Design and deliver fire safety training programs for employees, contractors, and facility teams. Ensure all personnel are equipped with knowledge of fire prevention and practices and emergency response protocols. Foster a strong fire safety culture through awareness campaigns and engagement initiatives.
Maintain comprehensive records of fire incidents, safety inspections, and compliance reports. Analyze fire safety data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Provide executive-level reports and recommendations on fire safety performance and risk reduction strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Safety, Fire Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of fire prevention experience, preferably in a corporate, industrial, or authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) setting.
- Strong knowledge of Taiwan's fire safety regulations, NFPA standards, and global fire codes.
- Experience in fire risk assessment, compliance audits, and emergency planning.
- Proficiency in fire protection system design, maintenance, and evaluation.
- Excellent leadership, problem solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced degree in Fire Science, Engineering or Occupational Safety.
- Certifications such as Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), NFPA, or equivalent.
- Experience with fire safety technology, AI-enabled fire monitoring, and digital compliance tracking.
- Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English.
- Prior experience in multinational corporations or high-risk operational environments.
