Role Overview
The UX product designer on the pricing team plays a key role in defining the user experience for key stakeholders that utilize our tools such as our Pricing Operations, finance, and brand managers teams. They will be tasked with presenting complex calculations and complicated pricing data sets in an intuitive, easy-to-understand user experience to maximize efficiency and understanding of how Coupang prices are set.
What You Will Do
  • You will conduct user research with key stakeholders and users of the Pricing backoffice tool to identify customer pain points and
  • Independently drive design design process end-to-end from user insight research, creating user journeys, to wireframing and UI design.
  • Discuss tradeoffs with product and engineering teams and ensure designs are implemented well while maximizing user efficiency and understanding of how prices are set.
  • Iterate with product managers in identifying key user experiences that need improvement and potential solutions in the current price setting processes.
Basic Qualifications
  • BA in graphic design, interaction design, industrial design, HCI, computer science, psychology, or equivalent degree / experience.
  • 8+ years in working experience product design.
  • Portfolio demonstrating your work with at least 1 product / design that was released to users with an understanding of target users, user journey and visual design skills.
  • Experience in launching new features or products in collaboration with other key implementation partners such as Product Managers, Engineers, and key business users.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Startup experience with an ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and changing priorities is higly valued.
  • Experience with B2B web application design on PCs with multiple screens, internationalization and localization requirements is a plus.
  • Experience working in international environments and globally distributed teams.
  • Fluency in both English and Korean preferred, but not required.

Pay & Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.

The base pay for this position ranges from $138,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $297,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
