직무소개
Sr. Staff, Network Engineer는 Corporate IT 조직의 매니저들과 팀 그리고 당사의 이해관계자들과 함께 협업하여 쿠팡의 미션과 목적에 부합하는 전략을 계획, 개발, 조정 및 실행하는 역할을 수행합니다. 또한, 엔지니어 팀의 멘토 역할을 수행하며 문제를 해결함과 동시에 유저와 고객들을 위해 당사의 네트워크를 최적화합니다. Sr. Staff, Network Engineer는 데이터 센터 네트워크와 풀필먼트 네트워크 서비스, 네트워크 프로젝트 거버넌스 및 계획, 벤더 관계 관리, 변경 관리, 리스크 관리 및 조직 전략 계획과 관련된 경험을 갖춘 전략적인 리더로서의 역할 수행이 요구됩니다. 엔지니어 팀이 기대하는 결과를 도출하는데 집중할 수 있도록 하는 동시에 플레이북을 실행할 수 있도록 지원하며, 리스크를 평가하고, 빠른 의사결정을 내리며, 기술적인 환경에서 의사결정에 관련된 요소들을 이해할 수 있어야 합니다. 개발에 대한 독창적인 사고와 판단이 필요하며 네트워크의 디자인, 생성, 설치 및 유지보수에 대한 책임을 갖습니다.
업무 내용
- 네트워크 아키텍쳐를 진단/평가하고 개선해야 할 사항을 발굴 및 컨설팅하여 리더십에 보고하는 역할을 수행하며 특히, 장애 발생시 최단 시간 내에 문제를 파악하고 모든 상관관계를 검증 및 분석하여 대안과 해결책을 제시
- 대체 아키텍쳐의 연구개발, 신규 인프라 프레임워크, 엔지니어링 전략과 같이 새롭고 혁신적인 네트워킹 기술에 대한 장기 전략 계획을 제공하고 기술적 개발로 인한 영향을 모니터링
- 라우팅/스위칭, 시스템 확장, 시스템 보안 및 신뢰성에 중점을 둔 엔지니어링을 통해 첨단 기술 프로젝트 팀과 계약자를 리드하고 작업을 계획, 분배, 지휘, 조율하고 프로젝트 계획, 일정 등의 요구사항 수립
- 품질과 생산성 보장을 위한 표준 운영 절차 (SOP) 절차 수립 및 실행 및 이해관계자 및 IT 리더십과 협업하여 당사의 비즈니스 전략에 부합하는 전반적인 네트워크 전략 수립
- 재해 복구 계획(DRP)이 제대로 수립되었는지 확인하고 비즈니스, 환경 또는 규제 변경으로 인한 업데이트 진행 및 DRP이 정의된 대로 실행되는지 확인
- 고객 만족을 유지하고 품질 기준을 충족할 수 있도록 하며, 고객 대응, 장애 해결, 후속 조치를 위한 프로세스, 정책 및 서비스 수준 계약을 준수
- 리스크 관리, 비즈니스 니즈 충족 및 성공적인 서비스와 솔루션 실현을 위해 조직 규모에 적합한 산업의 베스트 프렉티스(best practice)를 수립
- 테크니컬 디자인부터 통합 테스팅(Integration testing)까지 딜리버리 라이프사이클(Delivery lifecycle)을 관리하고 이해관계자들과 협업하여 기능 설계와 유저 테스팅 수행
자격 요건
- 네트워크 기술과 프로토콜(주로 TCP/IP)에 대한 전문 지식과 라우터, 스위치, 네트워크 보안, 인터넷/인트라넷 환경에 관한 풍부한 경험 및 내부/외부 라우팅 프로토콜에 대한 깊은 이해도를 보유하신 분
- 15년 이상의 데이터 센터 운영, 인프라 운영 및 구축 혹은 관리 경력 및 업계 베스트 프렉티스 네트워크 운영 및 표준, 업타임 티어 레벨 및 운영 지속가능성 표준에 대한 심층적인 이해도 및 성공적인 구현 경험을 보유하신 분
- 고가용성(HA) 및 탄력적인 네트워크 아키텍처를 포함한 네트워크 운영을 관리, 감독 및 유지할 수 있는 능력을 보유하신 분
- 기술 업계 트렌드와 신기술에 대한 지식과 프로젝트 라이프 사이클(Project Lifecycle)의 방법론에 대한 지식을 보유하신 분

우대 사항
- 컴퓨터 공학, 정보 시스템, 공학, 기술 혹은 관련 분야의 학사 또는 석사 학위를 보유하신 분
- 15년 이상 단결력 높은 고성과 팀을 관리한 경험과 네트워크 구현 및 강화를 이끌어 본 경험
- 최소 5년 이상의 소프트웨어 정의 네트워킹(SDN) 전문성과 네트워크 자동화에 대한 이해 및 하이브리드 클라우드 인프라 구축 경험을 보유하신 분
- CCIE, JNCIE, CISSP, CISA, ITIL, PMP 등 전문 자격증을 보유하신 분

Role Overview
The Senior Staff, Network Engineering works with Corporate IT managers and teams, company stakeholders to plan, develop, coordinate, and execute strategies consistent with the mission and purpose of Coupang. The position will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for our users and customers. This position requires a strategic leader with demonstrated experience in Data Center network and Fulfillment network services, network project governance and planning, vendor relationship management, change management, risk management, and organizational strategic planning. The position will support the team to execute a playbook while staying focused on the expected output. The incumbent must be able to evaluate risk, be able to act expeditiously to make decisions, understanding the factors associated with decision-making in a technological environment. This position requires original thinking and judgment in the development and takes on full responsibility and accountability for network design, creation, installation, and maintenance.
What You Will Do
- Diagnose/evaluate the network architecture, discover and consult on issues to be improved, and report to the leadership. In particular, when an incident occurs, it must be able to identify problems in the shortest time, verify and analyze all correlations, and suggest alternatives and solutions.
- Provides long-range strategic planning for new and innovative networking technologies, including research and development of alternative architectures, new infrastructure framework, and engineering strategy; monitors the impact of technological developments.
- Leads advanced technical project teams and contractors, with engineering emphasis on routing/switching, system buildouts, and systems security and reliability; plans, assigns, directs and coordinates work efforts; develops project plans, timetables and staff requirements.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure quality and productivity and collaborate with stakeholders and other IT leaders to develop overall network strategy in the context of the business strategy.
- Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place, updated as needed due to business, environmental or regulatory changes and are exercised as defined.
- Maintain customer satisfaction and to ensure quality standards, adherence to processes, policies, and service level agreements for customer responsiveness, incident resolution, and follow up.
- Establish industry best practices that are right sized for the organization to manage risk, meet business needs and deliver services and solutions successfully.
Basic Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of network technologies and protocols, primarily TCP/I and extensive experience with routers, switches, network security, Internet/Intranet environments; strong understanding of internal/external routing protocols.
- 15+ experience in datacenter operations, infrastructure operations, implementation, or management and deep understanding and successful implementation of Industry Best Practices Network Operations and Standards, Uptime Tier Levels & Operational Sustainability Standards.
- Ability to oversee, monitor, and maintain network operations, including high-availability and resilient network architectures.
- Knowledge of technology industry trends/emerging technologies and project life cycle methodologies.
- Ability to evaluate and make recommendations on different network-related applications software packages and ability to manage studies, special projects and assignments with long-range impacts.
- Ability to plan, direct, assign, supervise and evaluate project teams and task forces and demonstrated leadership experience building cross-organizational consensus with exposure to technology providers and/or business clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, technology or related field required
- 15+ years of demonstrated experience managing a high-performing, cohesive team, and leading network implementation and enhancement
- Minimum of 5 years of Software-Defined Network expertise, understanding of network automation, and experience implementing Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure
- Professional certification (e.g. CCIE, JNCIE, CISSP, CISA, ITIL, PMP)
- Business-level English / Korean communication

Document Return Policy
- This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
