Senior Principal, Business Development

Major Responsibility:

  • Strategize new seller acquisition and build versatile approaches to generate seller interest and commitment to the cross border Selling on Coupang in China market with short-term tactics and long-term vision.
  • Develop robust network with external partners, such as Service Provider Networks, industry associations, key government, etc., to empower new sellers with ecosystem capability.
  • Bringing in relevant and qualified mass Seller pool to empower the CN-KR cross boarder business engine. Build effective targeted and scalable acquisition functions to maximize the new seller acquisition efficiency.
  • Having knowledge in Seller management under cross border e-Commerce setting, to replicate the successful Seller qualification to Seller recruiting process. And, if necessary, help the high potential Sellers onboarding and ramping up in order contribute to driving the business fast growing. Deep understanding of the existing seller management in cross-border ecommerce setting, and if having experience in category management with the full category breath is highly preferred.
  • Support internal partners in driving change, removing roadblocks and increasing participation by local Sellers with respect to the Coupang Global Selling business.

Basic Qualification:

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • 10+ years of successful sales and business development experience, plenty Seller management skills, preferably in Cross border e-Commerce related industries.
  • Demonstrated records in exceeding marketing/business development/sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing skills and relationship management.
  • Have high performance in a fast-growing team and being agile on organizational changes.
  • A result-driven team player also has a good balance in people sense with compassion.
  • Mix of strategic thinking and demand excellence in operation with data-driven approach.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity with growth and positive mindset.

Preferred Qualification

  • MBA degree preferred
  • Experience in Global e-commerce and/or retail industry
  • Proven ability to influence others.
  • Ability to work with legal, product and internal business owners to reach mutually beneficial agreement.
