Position: Capacity Planning Manager(Last Mile)
What You Will Do:
You will be owning different workstreams working with 1P/3P carriers planning the needed capacity to fulfill our customers’ demand.
Planning: Daily and weekly planning with the carriers (1P and/or 3P) taking into considering last mile capacities, middle/first mile constraints and other factors.
TMS: Work on potential product improvements along with product/tech team including requirements gathering, testing with carriers, suggesting improvements. It includes communication with carriers and internal stakeholders.
Daily Operation: Work closely with FC, middle mile network and last mile network including 3PL carriers to deliver a strong customer experience to Coupang customers maintaining promised delivery dates above targets. This includes managing emergency situations requiring move with urgency and figuring out needed solutions to safeguard customer experience.
Reporting/Analysis: Reporting and analysis through tools, portals, and reports using advanced computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, TMS, BI, etc.). This includes arranging deep dives with carriers, internal stakeholders to identify and close gaps in addition to proactively preparing for upcoming events/peaks.
Carriers Relationship Management: Build a rapport with carriers to ensure we receive top class service level. This includes following up with the carriers to ensure they are working according to the set expectations and agreements. Systematically escalate problems to the relevant carrier manager's teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure that they are delivered.
Cost: Ensure the 3PL carriers' billing is properly tracked and processed, with payments made according to the commitment. Moreover, analyzing potential cost improvement opportunities along with internal/external stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven transportation experience. Plan and organize work.
- 8+ years in process enhancement, project management and problem solving in Logistics, Transportation, EC Fulfillment center/ Warehouse environment but open to other industries.
- UniversityLevel or equivalent is required.
- Computer literate and has above average internet/web skills.
- Advanced level analytical skills.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships.
- Work effectively as a team member.
- Meet schedules and timelines.
- Communicate both orally and in writing clearly and concisely.
