Role Overview
Coupang's Senior Manager, QA engineering is expected to be highly interested in being part of an agile team, passionate about innovating for customers, and have a demonstrable track record of success in delivering new features and products. A commitment to teamwork, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with product management and engineering teams to create high impact features that enhance the video experience for our customers
- Responsible for managing a team of Quality Assurance Engineers to drive the test strategy and planning
- Oversee the development and execution of test plans and monitor and report on test execution
- Passionate about innovating for customers, and creating a demonstrable track record of success in delivering new features and products
- Responsible for manual/automation testing and software quality
- A commitment to teamwork
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering or QA engineer and 3+ years of experience in managing QA team
- Experience managing automation and manual testers
- Experience in manual and automation testing
- Experience in Software Development Life Cycle on Quality Assurance
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Coding experience in Java, Python, or any other coding language.
- Experience with black box and white box testing with understanding of/experience with SQA methodologies, techniques and approaches.
- Ownership of test plan development and execution for customer facing applications.
- Experience with types of testing including regression, performance, stress, unit, API, integration, and security testing.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
