I ntroduction

Coupang is one of the largest and fastest-growing e-commerce platforms on the planet. We solve problems no one has solved before to create a world where people ask, “How did we ever live without Coupang?”

Coupang international expansion team is expanding Coupang’s footprint outside Korea. We are working to not only extend the market-leading product and services that Coupang has built-in Korea but also to innovate based on local needs and preferences. We launched our first international services in the summer of 2021 in parts of Tokyo and Taipei. We plan to scale our E-commerce business as well as launch other commerce offerings in our target markets.

International expansion is one of the key focus areas of the company. We are hiring driven leaders who can hustle, solve tough problems, collaborate across teams, and ship high quality impactful products.

Key Responsibilities

This role will own the strategy and execution of products designed to ensure that, while we are delighting millions of new customers, we are also ensuring that our customers features are purposefully designed with the right prevention, detection and enforcement measures in place to deter fraudulent/ill-intentioned users from abusing our services.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will:

  • Act as the primary business stakeholder for fraud and abuse prevention

  • Work with various teams to define the company’s fraud and abuse strategy and product roadmap.

  • Ensure that user flows for signup and purchase have the necessary protection measures in place which balance between customer experience and risk management

  • Strategize with fraud detection, fintech, risk management, legal, compliance, finance, customer service and marketing to ensure fraud management measures are launched effectively

  • Share insights and experiment results with the broader leadership team

  • Define, monitor, and measure success and performance metrics after launch. Consistently integrate data and feedback into key product decisions


  • 8+ years of experience in product management

  • Experience in building products from inception to scale will multiple iterations

  • An ability to use data to prioritize and find opportunities for growth

  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects

  • Bias for action and willingness to get your hands dirty and dig into the details to get the job done

  • Excellent communication skills. Able to distill key takeaways quickly in both written and verbal


  • E-commerce experience

  • Growth/user acquisition experience

  • Fraud, abuse and/or risk management experience

  • Experience in launching consumer facing products

  • Startup or big tech experience
