Team Description 

The Price Sharpness team is responsible for ensuring Coupang price effectiveness is maintained through rigorous audit of product pricing in accordance with company policies. This team provides analytical depth to find the root cause in any pricing gaps versus policy, and works closely with the pricing operations team to escalate any issues and formulate sustainable process solutions. As a senior member within the Price Sharpness team, this role will require the candidate to be a leader and mentor in the team to provide guidance to less experienced team members on audit best practices and price sharpness risks.

 

What are the 4 things you need this person to do?

  • Design, develop and improve automated reports and dashboards to measure performance and support business needs
  • Build and perform tools for a variety of analysis, from high-level metrics to very subtle in-depth analysis
  • Continuously identify efficiency improvement and business scale up opportunities through comprehensive platform data analysis & market research insights
  • Pull and leverage data to provide proactive, actionable insights that can identify growth opportunities, increase efficiency, and/or deepen understanding of business
  • Set strategic and measurable goals, define new metrics and collaborate with other teams to achieve success on cross-team projects

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in a retail environment
  • Expert level technical skills in SQL, MS Excel, Tableau or other BI tools
  • Effectively and clearly communicate technical insights to broad non-technical audience
  • Analytical thinking process and strong business acumen; able to quantify relevant business strategy into measurable metrics
  • Near native fluency in at least 2 of English, Korean and Chinese

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work experience in international trade or e-commerce
  • Advanced degree in statistics, MIS, mathematics, or relevant subject
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done
  • Experience in Python and statistical analysis
