As part of our exciting expansion plan, we are hiring a Principal, eCommerce Site Merchandising . Ideal candidates will have solid, demonstrable experience working with cross-functional teams, such as Design, Buyers, Inventory Management, Finance, Legal, etc. The primary goal of this role is to help Coupang Taiwan team to strengthen its merchandising and curation of what our customers want and drives marketing/merchandising activities to increase its visibility and customer loyalty. You will also collaborate with senior leaders on a daily basis to identify and implement new solutions to enhance both merchandising strategy and company culture.

 

What you will do  

  • Begins every day obsessed over Customer Experience. Starts with customer focused objectives and works backwards. Solution-building mindset to address and WOW our customers by utilizing internal/external data on customers and market.  
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams to develop marketing ideas, plan and execute onsite promotions and campaigns based on the ‘Merchandising Calendar’, drive performance and analyze results based on data and devise ways to continuously enhance the customer experience. 
  • Set goals for Top Line (Orders, GMV) and Customer Behavior Indicators (Inflow, Conversion, Retention, etc.) and establish and execute marketing strategies to achieve them. 
  • Build and streamline internal processes for smooth collaboration between the business, and different functional teams.  

 

Requirements:  

  • 6+ years of work experience including at least 4 years of eCommerce marketing.
  • Proficiency with Excel and extracting data through different tools.
  • Native Chinese required & fluent level English is bonus.
  • Data driven perspective – able to lead projects with performance and reporting.
  • A person who is able to maintain work priorities in a complex and rapidly changing situation where multiple stakeholders and requests are intertwined – a person who prefers a fast-paced work style.
  • Ability to conceive new ideas and experimentations for consideration. Understands the difference between 1-way and 2way doors.
  • Detail oriented, high standards and a bias toward action.
  • Always ensures business goals and plans are in line with ‘WOW-ing the Customer’ – never sacrifices customer experience for short-term goal.

 

Preferred Qualification:   

  • Experience in working in e-commerce OR global brands OR marketing agencies. 
  • Bachelor’s degree majored in business, finance, analytical or related majors (mathematics, statistics, economics, marketing, etc.) 
  • Experience with SQL or Tableau is a plus.
