Role Overview
The Senior HRIS Manager will oversee the management and optimization of our global People operations technologies. The ideal candidate will lead a team of HRIS specialists, ensure compliance with legal and security policies, and drive continuous improvement in our People systems to ensure a smooth user experience across all offices.
The team focuses on implementing, enhancing, updating, configuring, and maintaining People systems. Day-to-day operations include system configuration, access management, data integrity, and system performance. The team’s role involves responding to users’ requests, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and providing information and guidance on system processes and features. In addition, the HRIS Manager will ensure compliance with privacy requirements and facilitate communication regarding, but not limited to, system updates, issues, and new features with various people operations and business teams across all subsidiaries.
What You Will Do
Team Leadership: Set KPIs for the team and manage team members and lead and develop a growing team of HRIS technical specialists.
System Management:
- Manage the roadmaps and system operations of different people systems (eg. Greenhouse, Eightfold, Litmos, etc.).
- Establish IT Service Management best practices and oversee daily system operational tasks.
- Ensure all systems are compliant with global and local legal, security, and privacy policies.
Technical Expertise:
- Act as a technical subject matter expert, advising leadership on optimizing system applications, leveraging features to benefit the business, and enhancing data quality.
- Design and build creative solutions to optimize and scale people systems to meet growing business demands.
- Partner closely with internal Workday Support and Corp IT teams on integrations, configuration, and optimization.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process transformation and automation.
- Prioritize and manage continuous improvement projects.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work with global teams across multiple departments (People Operations, Corp IT, security, privacy, etc.).
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and optimize tools to support them.
Project Management:
- Manage and lead HRIS-related projects.
- Ensure documentation and maintain comprehensive documentation for people systems processes, system configuration changes, projects, guides, and SOPs.
User Support:
- Respond to and resolve technical issues related to people systems.
- Provide users with relevant information and guidance on system processes and features.
- Conduct regular system/data/user permission audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Engage in proactive communication with vendors to enhance systems and resolve technical issues.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in HRIS management, HR operations, IT support, and/or customer service, including system configuration, user access management, data integrity, and performance.
- Technical expertise in system technologies (API, Webhooks, CSS/HTML, process automation using Power Automate or APIs).
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team of technical specialists (3+ years experience leading and managing a team).
- Customer-centric approach with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to design and implement creative solutions for optimizing and scaling different people systems and applications.
- Strong understanding of global and local legal, security, and privacy policies.
- Experience in conducting system/data/user permission audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Excellent project management and change management skills.
- Ability to use data to enhance user experience and reduce support tickets.
- Up-to-date with innovation and trends in HRIS administration.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to keep information confidential.
- Proficiency in English and Korean.

Document Return Policy
- This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
- A job applicant, who has applied but not been finally selected for a position at Coupang (the “Company”), may request the Company to return his/her hiring documents submitted pursuant to the Fair Hiring Procedure Act. However, this will not apply where the hiring documents were submitted via the website of the Company or e-mail, or where the job applicant submitted those documents voluntarily without a request from the Company. In addition, if the hiring documents were destroyed due to a natural disaster or any other reasons not attributable to the Company, such documents will be deemed to have been returned to the job applicant.
- A job applicant who wishes to request the return of his/her hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above should fill out a “Request for Return of Hiring Documents” [Annex Form No. 3 in the Enforcement Rule of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act] and submit It by email ([email protected]). In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail. Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.
- In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
